The light of love

The light of love is.....
but beyond everything
it is the light of God
as God is love
love is beautiful

that was more than love.

A hidden mystery

The virtue of 'sweetness'

Words are effective when truth is combined with sweetness.
It is usually believed that when we speak the truth, we need to be frank and out spoken. And with this attitude we sometimes tend to become harsh in our words too. We believe that only when we are assertive in this way, will our words be effective. But practically it is found that when our words are without sweetness we find only temporary results.
In order to have lasting effect when we have to give correction to someone we need to take care that there is sweetness in our attitude and voice too. Only then will there be desired effect in the words that we speak and we will find the person bringing about change in herself/himself.

The attachment of the petals
makes the rose looks beautiful
though detachment is certain

lets detachment takes place

In Harmony

Sometimes we expect others to have the same level of qualities or understanding as we have. We are not able to accept or understand the other person's behaviour or words if they are different. Thus we form an attitude towards the person and we are not able to get along well. All we have to do is, we need to recognize the fact that like the musical notes, we are all different. Only when we harmonize together can we create a beautiful tune in life. We shall then not expect the other person to change according to us but will learn to understand and blend our personality with that person. In the process, we shall make ourself 'more' than we are and so will the other person.

The journey of life
to the destination
is not always a bed of roses
is not always a fragrance of love
is not always a world of happiness
at times.....
it is a bed of thorns
it is a filthy of hate
it is a world of sadness
finally.....
once you reach the destination
do realize.....
all those are lessons in life
that teach us the value of life
the journey to the destination
is more like a precious story
that cannot be forgotten

I made this card an hour ago. While making this card, I was thinking of a dear friend of mine. This card turn out well because the friend whom I was thinking has a loving and beautiful heart. Friends can really inspire us in many ways.:)

my friend said...
"You still don't understand me
You know me for many years
but....
You still don't understand me
You don't know the other part of me"
speechless...
just didn't know what to say
I was hurt
but...
then...
I realized maybe my friend was right
"SORRY", I said
let me say something
I may not understand you well
but...
you can still count on me
I can be...
a good listener

understanding

Reading is fun. Not to mention, reading an old book is more fun. At one time, you may have felt that you have understood the content. Unfortunately, it is not the case. A few days ago, I started to reread one of my old book. To my surprise only last night, I realized what I thought I have understood a few years back, turned out to be different.
I found that, I only understood chapter A to X and the other two chapters were difficult to be understood. It's like a mystery but I will keep reading until I understand. Maybe to understand the content well, I need some knowledge and to feel it, I need some experiences or maybe just a matter of time. Anyway, it's an interesting book.:))

This message was written in my autograph about 26 years ago by my so called brother who ended his life in a very tragic way about 24 years ago. Today, (13th. June) is the birthday of him. I do not wish to remember the date when he ended his life but I always remember the date of his birth. At least, I can feel the presence of him. May you be happy there.

Over the days....
I have realized
my emotions and feelings
are not to be revealed
over the days....
I have learned
my inner thoughts
are not to be shared
I have realized
sincerity is not been valued
I have learned
sincerity is not been appreciated
at the end of the day
labeled as funny and weird
finally....

Journey of life

More than forty decades ago
the mysterious adventure began
I rushed
I struggled
finally, I won the battle
a battle of life
I found a new world
the darkest warm world
could see nothing
could hear nothing
became dependent
in the cocoon safe and sound
was that a mistake?
I cried
no one heard
I waited impatiently
to see the light
finally.....
out from the darkest world

brightness everywhere

I still explore the life
I experience the pain
I see pain everywhere
there is no promise

Dances and smiles of the clouds
form some patterns and designs

living creations in pain and sorrows.

Witness

The dusk calls the night

sitting beside my loved ones

Him.......The M......

Whenever I found myself alone at night
he kept coming into my mind
my thoughts always turned to HIM
not a single day passed
that I did not think about HIM
my mind began to spin
as I fought to forget HIM
my vision became blurred
as I rattled off my secret to the mirror
I closed my eyes
bursting with tears
I tried to erase the thoughts of HIM
but............in vain
HIM.........THE MONSTER

I was so scared
my feet were cold
my heart started to beat faster
I closed my eyes
as tightly as I could
I heard some laughter
a pair of green eyes
staring at me angrily
I mumbled a quick prayer
the eyes disappeared
the laughter no more
for a fleeting moment
I thought I was dead
I let out a deep sigh
I opened my eyes
It was 3.00 a.m.
I closed my eyes again
bursting with a flood of tears
It was just a nightmare.

A letter to a friend

Sitting all alone in the staffroom
flipping through the guidebook
planning the lesson for tomorrow
as I started to pen a few lines
the thought of you my dear friend
came lingering into my mind

with grace of God and peace

The Divine Art of Making Friends by Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda I have read many articles on friendship and I personally experienced many ups and downs in friendship. Here I would like to publish something that really captured my heart while reading. Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda's writeup on 'The Divine Art of Making Friends' in his book- Man's Eternal Quest After reading his writeup I finally have to agree how true it is about 'Divine friendship' "Friendship is the noblest human expression of God's desire to show His love to man. God showers affection on the baby through the father and mother; their feeling for the infant is inborn, because our Creator has ordained that our parents can't help but love us. But friendship comes to us as a free, impartial expression of His love. Two strangers meet, and by an instantaneous choice of their hearts they wish to help each other. Have you ever analyzed how this happens? The spontaneous mutual desire to be friends comes directly from God's divine law of attraction; cumulative mutual acts of friendship between two souls in past lives gradually create a karmic bond that irresistibly attracts them to each other in this life. So long as it is uncontaminated by selfishness or attraction to the opposite sex, this impulse is pure. But often it is tainted. Friendship grows on the tree of our innermost feelings; it is desecrated by unwholesome desires and selfish actions. If you put the wrong kind of fertilizer on the roots of a tree, the fruit that develops will be poor; and when you feed the tree of human feeling with the emotion of selfishness, your unworthy motives will blemish the fruit of friendship. To feel interested in someone just because he is rich or influential and can do something for you is not friendship. And to be attracted to someone primarily because that person has a beautiful face is not friendship. When that face loses its youthful attractiveness, the 'friendship' will evaporate. It is true that you cannot find friendship everywhere. Some persons you see every day and never know, and others you feel you have known alwyas. You should learn to recognize that inner cue. Wherever you are, always keep your eyes open, and if you feel divinely attracted to someone, you should develop the friendship with that person because he has been your friend in some life before. There are many friends whom we have known in past lives, but those friendships have not yet been perfected. It is better to start building on a foundation on the sands of temporary acquaintances. It is easy for one to think he has many friends, until they do something hurtful to him, and then he feels deeply disillusioned. Many people make mistakes in choosing friends because they are deluded by outer appearances. The only way to recognize real friends is to meditate more. You should try to find friends the divine way, and that is to purge your consciousness' of all thought of facial or other appearances as factors in determining your feelings about others. If you do this, one day you will be able to discover true friends all around you. You will feel God's friendship through those humble human channels that do not resist Him.
