I was so scared
my feet were cold
my heart started to beat faster
I closed my eyes
as tightly as I could
I heard some laughter
a pair of green eyes
staring at me angrily
I mumbled a quick prayer
the eyes disappeared
the laughter no more
for a fleeting moment
I thought I was dead
I let out a deep sigh
I opened my eyes
It was 3.00 a.m.
I closed my eyes again
bursting with a flood of tears
It was just a nightmare.
hahaha..You didn't scream, Venus??
ReplyDeleteI sometimes scream myself out of nightmares! :)
white saree, green eyes, red nails...is it? or was it a green eyed cat! :)
But I like to have such visions, and the rise in flow of blood in me in those moments! :))
Good one, that was
i was feeling a bit moody today, made for a good laugh..but then why did you cry??

Oh a lovely flower in your blog's head! :))

Been there, done that -- and the relief to come away from the terror knowing it was not real does bring "a flood of tears". Then I'm usually mad at my spouse all day because he didn't save me from whatever danger was there! LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, you captured the feeling Venus.
Hi Venus:)
ReplyDeleteLet me congratulate you for the beautiful flower with an alluring color in header. I almost fainted with delight. Absolutely great!
Excellent poetry. The suspense was great. I thought that it was some evil spirit.
This reminds of a story I wrote in school about going to the moon and I surprised my audience in the end saying it was a dream. My teacher took my story home and read it to her family. I was very proud.
Have a wonderful day Venus:)

The flower in the header is brilliant. It has made your blog more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou are able to pray even in the dream. That's the true quality for a devotee of God.
